Ingredients
15 oz 15 can dark sweet cherries
1 cup 1 dark sweet cherry juice drained from canned cherries
1 cup 1 boiling water
3 oz box 3 dark cherry Jello
10 oz 10 miniature marshmallows (1 small bag)
1 cup 1 cool whip, thawed
Directions
- Drain the juice from the cherries into a measuring cup. Substitute this liquid for cold water in recipe and add enough water to equal 1 cup.
- Prepare Jello as directed on the box substituting the cherry juice mixture for cold water.
- Slice cherries and add to the prepared Jello mixture.
- Gently stir marshmallows into the Jello mixture.
- Place in the refrigerator and chill the Jello mixture until it begins to set – approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours
- Gently fold the cool whip into the chilled Jello and place back into the refrigerator until completely firm. Approximately 4 hours.
